Here are some frequently asked questions. If what you want to know is not answered here please feel free to contact us.


It depends on the piece of pottery you choose but prices start at £5. Prices are all inclusive and include the pottery, painting and glazing.
It is not necessary to book but it may be advisable to reserve a table at the weekend or during school holidays. We should also have space to drop in but feel free to call ahead to check before you set off.
We love to have little ones in to create memories and keepsakes with their hand and footprints. If there are a few in your group why not call and arrange to come during the week when it’s quiet. We may be able to open especially for you just ask!
You don’t need to be an artist or even particularly creative. We have stamps, sponges and tools that can help you create fabulous results! Though of course if you are talented there’s plenty of scope to show off your skills on any of the pieces.
There’s something for all ages.
Bring babies and toddlers to make a keepsake with hand and footprints.
Small children enjoy painting the cute animal figures, and there are plenty of pieces for older children and adults, mugs, plates, teapots and jugs.
We recommend our parties for over 5’s only.
It depends on the size of the piece you are painting, how detailed your design is and the age of the artist. You can finish something in half an hour or take over 2 hours. There’s no limit within our opening hours.
Yes we take group bookings for exclusive use of the studio on Sundays. We can also take bookings for tables during normal opening hours. We will try to accommodate any request so please ask. Look on our ‘Parties Page’ for more details.
We recommend that children wear suitable clothes. All paint is washable and we do our best to keep painting parties mess free but accidents can happen.
Unfortunately due to the nature of the product occasionally items can be damaged in the firing process. If this occurs you will receive a voucher to paint an item of the same value free of charge. All items are checked thoroughly once they have come out of the kiln. Please check your item before you take it home as we cannot be responsible for damage after you’ve left the premises.
Small figures are display only and are not toys or suitable for under 3’s.
Yes you can once glazed, items are food safe but we would not recommend putting them in the microwave or dishwasher.
